SLK-Evo™ Anatomical Knee System
Our cruciate retaining anatomical total condylar knee system first introduced in 1993, as the St. Leger now offers 4 femoral sizes and 8 tibial Trays together with 5 thicknesses of poly tibial inserts for each type of tibial tray along with 4 diameters of patella button. This versatile system offers surgeons and patients a wide choice and predictable reliability backed up by 10 years of excellent clinical history. FEMORALS
Our femorals offer multi-radius condylar articular profiles that encourage optimum rollback to increase flexion and our design provides for a substantial foot-print, over 30° flexion, improving stability and minimising poly wear. Our implant also includes fixation pegs to enhance medio/lateral stability and the bone interface of the cemented range incorporates cement pockets to enhance fixation. A wide patella track ensures stable tracking and a feathered sulcus minimises anterior shift. All our components are manufactured from the highest quality Cobalt Chrome castings conforming to ISO 5832-pt 4 and these castings are subjected to 100% Hipping and Vacuum heat treatment to improve metallurgy. The castings are subsequently inspected 100% using X-ray and FPI to established International Standards.
TIBIAL TRAYS
Our 8 Tibial Trays offer surgeons a wide choice of fittings and foot-prints to ensure stable load-bearing of the wear couple. The bone interface surfaces of the cemented range incorporate cement pockets and fixation pegs to enhance medio/lateral stability. Our I-Beam Keel on the cemented range also enhances resistance to rotation and improves fixation. The inherent stability provided by this design also allows for a posterior cruciate retaining capability. These implants are once again manufactured from the highest quality Cobalt Chrome and to the same exacting standards set for our Femorals.
TIBIAL INSERTS
All our Tibial Inserts are manufactured from high quality, low calcium stearate “super pressed” Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene [UHMWPE], which also complies with ISO 5834-pt 2. We offer highly congruent articular profiles in a range of thicknesses from 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15mm, offering our surgeons optimum soft tissue balance options. Our design offers a 70% contact area at 90° of flexion, which also minimises joint stresses. Our mobile menisci also incorporates unique synovial tracts which aids tribology of the entire wear couple Our Tibial Inserts are surface treated to increase surface area and improve tribology and are packed in nitrogen enriched pouches to minimise effects of oxidation caused by Gamma Irradiation.
PATELLA BUTTONS
We offer precision-machined implants in four sizes/diameters 32, 34, 36 and 38mm, which have been specially surface, treated to improve congruency and tribology.
MOBILE MENISCUS SYSTEMS
The load-bearing surface of our Tibial Trays are ground, lapped and super-polished to optically flat standards, so asto improve tribology and minimise poly wear and also incorporates a synovial trough to aid the retention and distribution of the natural lubricant during the mobility of the wear couple.
PRESS-FIT IMPLANTS
Our implants can be offered with a dual coating of CP Ti. and HA.
